Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (MBA or other advanced degree preferred), CPA, and 3-8 years’ audit experience in public accounting required.
  • Complete understanding of accepted accounting practices, budget preparation/management, and financial reporting as they relate to privately-owned companies or not-for-profit entities.
  • Ability to train and supervise others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate complex information.
  • Real estate, construction, hospitality, or manufacturing/distribution experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of tax issues facing corporations, pass-through entities, and partnerships preferred.
  • Experience with GoFileRoom, Creative Solutions, or GoSystem preferred.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning, execution, and delivery of specific client assurance projects, including budgeting within time and scope of agreed-upon services.
  • Review and/or prepare financial statements, footnotes, and work papers for audit, review compilation, management letters, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements.
  • Demonstrate professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations, including preparation of management letters.
  • Review and/or prepare tax returns for client engagements.
  • Develop and maintain a relationship with the client by gaining the respect and confidence of personnel with consistent high-level customer service, quality work products, and professional integrity.
  • Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
  • Keep up-to-date on current accounting and audit practices and changes in tax law.
  • Provide industry knowledge and education seminars when necessary and occasional writing for marketing and industry publications.
