Minimum Education & Experience
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or related discipline and 2-5 years’ experience (Senior) or 4-8 years’ experience (Supervisor) in public accounting or mix of public and private.
  • Strong accounting background, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to understand the company’s business.
  • Ability to multitask, critically evaluate processes, and collaborate.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Contribute to evaluation of existing finance processes including month-end.
  • Collaborate with functional leads and other members of Controllership to re-engineer workflows as necessary.
  • Design and implement controls as necessary to mitigate previously identified risks and continuously monitor these controls to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Ensure a high quality of accounting output.
  • Review, reconcile, and consolidate different forms of monthly management reports for use by internal stakeholders, including departmental heads and senior business leaders.
  • Support the accuracy/completeness of results, both as one form of output relates to another, and regarding the consistency of accounting output with global directives, internal policies, and US GAAP.
  • Design and implement new management accounting methodologies.
  • Research business needs and convert requirements into accounting-based solutions which are successfully realized with the system, resources, and timeline available.
  • Understand business processes and anticipate areas for adding value to the services that our Finance team provides.
  • Write global accounting policies and roll out/enforce adherence to these standards.
  • Work with other controllership team members to support the annual financial statement audit.
  • Assist in month end accounting processes, including analytical reviews, posting journal entries, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Assist in revamp of global tax strategy, including incorporating US tax reform and assessing the business impact, statutory requirements, and new global reporting requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior controllership team members as their professional development coach.
  • Actively participate in the development of controllership team members, provide coaching, and assist in elevating the capabilities of direct reports and the controllership team as a whole.
  • Lead and participate in other special projects as necessary.
